Minimum Zoom version supported: 6.0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curator backup and restore can be performed either through a web API or manually. Both methods are described below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Backup<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Web API<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
  1. Stop<\/span> all Zoom Servers<\/span>.<\/li>
  2. Open<\/span> the following URLs in the order they are written<\/em><\/strong>\n
      \n
    1. http:\/\/<curator-server-hostname>:8983\/solr\/BK<\/span>\/replication?command=backup<\/code><\/li>\n
    2. http:\/\/<curator-server-hostname>:8983\/solr\/ID<\/span>\/replication?command=backup<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>
    3. Start<\/span> all Zoom Servers<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
      Backup Name:<\/strong> You can give a name to the backup by appending &name=\"write-your-backup-name-here\"<\/code> to the above URLs.<\/div>\n\n\n\n
      Backup Location:<\/strong>\n

       <\/p>\n

      You can specify a backup location by appending &location=\"write-your-location-path-here\"<\/code> to the above URLs. Each URL must be given a different location.<\/p>\n

      By default, the backups are stored within the configured<\/a> Curator db location, e.g. within <ZOOM_INSTALL_DIR>\/db\/solr-db\/BK<\/span><\/code> and <ZOOM_INSTALL_DIR>\/db\/solr-db\/ID<\/span><\/code>, respectively.<\/p>\n

      The created backup is a directory named snapshot.<name><\/code>, where name<\/code> is the specified name, or, a timestamp if unspecified.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

      Manually<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
      1. Stop<\/span> all Zoom Servers<\/span>.<\/li>
      2. Copy<\/span> the solr-db<\/code> directory from the configured<\/a> Curator db location to the location where you want to store the backup.
        Example: Copy <ZOOM_INSTALL_DIR>\/db\/solr-db<\/code> directory to <ZOOM_INSTALL_DIR>\/backup\/<\/code>.<\/div><\/li>
      3. Start<\/span> all Zoom Servers<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Restore<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Web API<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
        1. Stop<\/span> all Zoom Servers<\/span>.<\/li>
        2. Open<\/span> the following URLs in the order they are written<\/em><\/strong>\n

            Append &name=\"write-your-backup-name-here\"<\/code> to restore to a specific backup. If unspecified, then the most recent backup<\/em> will be restored.<\/div>\n<\/li>
          3. Restart<\/span> Curator<\/span>.<\/li>
          4. Start<\/span> all Zoom Servers<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
