Different installations may have items stored in different locations based on different Linux flavors. These instructions may not match precisely all Linux environments Zoom is installed in. Please use these instructions as the basis and adapt to your unique environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The following instructions describe how to upgrade a Zoom Server installed on RedHat Enterprise Linux or CentOS. These instructions assume you have downloaded the zoom-unix64.tar.bz2<\/span> from the Zoom Support Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upgrade Manually<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
  1. Shutdown<\/span> the Zoom Server <\/em><\/span>and Zoom Preview Server<\/em> <\/span>services.\n
    For information on how to start and stop services for a Windows Server, see Starting and Stopping Zoom Services (Linux)<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>
  2. Copy<\/span> or backup<\/span> the [ZoomDir]\/conf\/ <\/em><\/span> and [ZoomDir]\/db <\/em><\/span>folder.\n
    If your db is not installed in this location, you do not need to back up this folder.<\/div>\n<\/li>
  3. Delete<\/span> the [ZOOM_INSTALL_DIR<\/em><\/code>]<\/em><\/span> folder.<\/li>
  4. Unzip the zoom-unix64.tar.bz2 <\/span>downloaded from the Zoom Support Center<\/span>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    For servers using 4.0b5877 and greater: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Replace<\/span> the conf<\/em><\/span> folder with the conf<\/span> <\/em>folder from your backup.<\/li>
    2. Start <\/span>the Zoom Server <\/em><\/span>and Zoom Preview Server<\/em><\/span> services.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      For servers using 4.0b5877 and before:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Navigate<\/span> to the new [ZOOM_INSTALL_DIR]<\/em><\/span>. Make sure it is in the same location you had the previous install.<\/li>
      2. Copy<\/span> and replace<\/span> the server.xml<\/em><\/span> and metadataspec <\/em><\/span>file and folder from the conf<\/em><\/span> folder you backed up prior to installing.<\/li>
      3. Open<\/span> the wrapper.conf <\/em><\/span>from your backup and the wrapper.conf<\/em> <\/span>stored in the new installation.<\/li>
      4. For configurations, such as heap size and memory, replace<\/span> the values from your old installation into the new wrapper.conf<\/span> <\/em>file.<\/em><\/li>
      5. Open<\/span> the preview-server.conf<\/span> <\/em>from your backup and the preview-server.conf<\/em><\/span> stored in the new installation.<\/li>
      6. For configurations, such as heap size and memory, replace<\/span> the values from your old installation into the new preview-server.conf<\/span> file.<\/em><\/li>
      7. Copy<\/span> the zoom.key<\/em><\/span> file from your backup to your new installation.<\/li>
      8. Start <\/span>the Zoom Server <\/em><\/span>and Zoom Preview Server<\/em><\/span> services.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Upgrade Using Script<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
