Periodically, the Evolphin team will provide updates to Zoom Server and Zoom client. These updates can be downloaded at the download address provided by Evolphin. If you do not know the download address for your organization, please refer to View Tickets in the Evolphin Support<\/a> portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before beginning, please make sure to backup your Zoom installation and database as referred to in Backing Up Zoom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. In Windows\u00a0Services<\/span>, shutdown<\/span> the Zoom Server<\/span>\u00a0and Zoom Preview Server<\/span>\u00a0services.
    For information on how to shut down, refer to Starting and Stopping Zoom Services (Windows)<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span><\/div> <\/li>
  2. Navigate<\/span> to the Zoom install directory.
    On\u00a0Windows, this is located in C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Evolphin\\DAM<\/em>.<\/div> <\/li>
  3. Copy<\/span> or backup<\/span> the conf<\/span>\u00a0<\/em>and db<\/span>\u00a0<\/em>folder.
    If your db<\/span> folder is located in an alternate location,\u00a0you do not need to back up the db<\/span>\u00a0folder.<\/div> <\/li>
  4. Go to<\/span> Start > Control Panel<\/span>.<\/em><\/li>
  5. Under Programs<\/span>, select<\/span> Uninstall a program<\/span>.<\/li>
  6. In the list, select<\/span> Evolphin Zoom<\/em><\/span> and click<\/span> Uninstall<\/span>.<\/li>
  7. When prompted “Are you sure you want to uninstall Evolphin Zoom”<\/span> click<\/span> Yes<\/span>.<\/li>
  8. Follow the instructions<\/span> in the uninstall wizard.<\/li>
  9. Navigate<\/span> to the Zoom installation directory.<\/li>
  10. Delete<\/span> the webcontext<\/em><\/span>\u00a0and conf<\/span> folders<\/em>.<\/li>
  11. Unzip<\/span> the zoom-server-win64.zip<\/span> downloaded from Evolphin Support<\/a>.<\/li>
  12. Once unzipped, navigate<\/span> to the server<\/em><\/span>\u00a0folder.<\/li>
  13. Double-click<\/span> setup.exe<\/span>.<\/li>
  14. Follow the instructions<\/span> for the Zoom installer.<\/li>
  15. When prompted, restart<\/span> your computer.
    When your computer restarts, the service will start automatically on launch. Go to your Services and shut off the Zoom Server and Zoom Preview Server services prior to continuing.<\/div> <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    For servers using 4.0b5877 and greater: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Replace<\/span> the server.xml<\/em><\/span>, wrapper.conf<\/span>, <\/em>preview-server.conf<\/em><\/span>, metadataspec<\/span> <\/em>folder, <\/em>and xmp-type.properties<\/span> <\/em>with the files stored in your conf<\/em><\/span> backup folder.<\/li>
    2. In Services<\/strong><\/span>, start<\/span> the Zoom Server<\/span> and Zoom Preview Server<\/span> services.\n
      By default, this is located in C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Evolphin\\DAM<\/em><\/div>\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      For servers using 4.0b5877 and before:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      4. Open<\/span> the wrapper.conf <\/em><\/span>from your backup and the wrapper.conf<\/em><\/span> stored in the new installation.<\/li>
      5. For configurations, such as heap size and memory, replace<\/span> the values from your old installation into the new wrapper.conf<\/span> file.<\/em><\/li>
      6. Open<\/span> the preview-server.conf <\/em><\/span>from your backup and the preview-server.conf<\/em><\/span> stored in the new installation.<\/li>
      7. For configurations, such as heap size and memory, replace<\/span> the values from your old installation into the new preview-server.conf<\/span> file.<\/em><\/li>
      8. Copy<\/span> the zoom.key<\/em><\/span> file from your backup to your new installation.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
