There are a variety of actions that can be done to files stored in Zoom directly within the Asset Browser<\/span> interface. Next, we will step through the different actions you can do to files within Asset Browser<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Preview Files<\/h4>\n

Preview files allows you to see a high-resolution preview of the file before you checkout the file. File formats supported include image formats, PDF, video, audio, and others.<\/p>\n

Via Keyboard<\/h5>\n
    \n
  1. Select<\/span> an item in Asset Browser<\/span>.<\/li>\n
  2. Hit<\/span> the spacebar<\/span> on your keyboard.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    Via Mouse<\/h5>\n
      \n
    1. Select<\/span> an item in Asset Browser<\/span>.<\/li>\n
    2. Double-click<\/span><\/span> asset.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Move Files<\/h4>\n
        \n
      1. Click<\/span> the \"Description:\u00a0Browse button in the top-left corner.<\/li>\n
      2. Navigate to defproj<\/span> using the Path Navigator<\/span>.

      3. Expand<\/span> defproj<\/span> in the Path Navigator<\/span> using the \"Description:\u00a0expand arrow<\/span> button.<\/li>\n
      4. Select<\/span> a file inside of defproj<\/span>.\n

      5. Drag-and-drop<\/span> the file to the subfolder in the Path Navigator<\/span>. A square will appear over the folder, indicating that the file will be moved into that folder.Note: It is important to note that in order move files or folders requires dragging and dropping onto the folder in the Path Navigator<\/span>, not a folder shown in the browser.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Rename Files<\/h4>\n

        There are multiple ways to rename a file using Asset Browser<\/span>:<\/p>\n

        By Clicking Filename<\/h5>\n
          \n
        1. Select<\/span> an item in Asset Browser<\/span>.<\/li>\n
        2. Click<\/span> once on the filename.

        3. Hit<\/span> Enter<\/span> on your keyboard.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          By Using Contextual Menu<\/h5>\n

          1. Select<\/span> an item in Asset Browser<\/span>.<\/li>\n

          3. Enter your new filename.

            Smart Copy Files<\/h4>\n

            Within Zoom, creating copies of files is easy using Smart Copy<\/span>. Unlike conventional copying of files which takes up additional data, creating a Smart Copy<\/span> allows a file to be copied and edited without having to duplicate data on the server. You can create smart copies of a file or an entire folder.<\/p>\n

            Using Contextual Menu<\/h4>\n
              \n
            1. Select<\/span> an item in Asset Browser<\/span>.<\/li>\n
            2. Right-click<\/span> on the asset and Select<\/span> Smart Copy<\/span>.<\/li>\n
            3. Type in<\/span> the path of the location you would like the Smart Copy<\/span> to be created in.<\/li>\n
            4. Click<\/span> OK<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
              Using Keyboard<\/h5>\n
                \n
              1. Select<\/span> an item in Asset Browser<\/span>.<\/li>\n
              2. On your keyboard<\/span>, hit<\/span>:\n
                  \n
                • Mac<\/strong>: Command ?<\/span> + Option ?<\/span> + C<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Windows<\/strong>: Ctrl<\/span> + Alt<\/span> + C<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                  Bulk Smart Copy Using Cart<\/h5>\n
                    \n
                  1. Select<\/span> items in Asset Browser<\/span>.<\/li>\n
                  2. Click<\/span> the \"Description:Cart<\/span> button to add the items to the cart.<\/li>\n
                  3. Click<\/span> on the\u00a0 Cart<\/span> and Select<\/span> Smart Copy<\/span>.

                  4. Choose whether you would like your smart copy to be in the current folder or in a different folder. If you click Save to other folder, click<\/span> the Browse\u2026<\/span> button to navigate to the appropriate folder in Zoom.<\/li>\n
                  5. Under New Filenames<\/span>, set whether you would like to keep the same filename or rename the files.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    Delete Files<\/h4>\n
                      \n
                    1. Select<\/span> an item in Asset Browser<\/span>.<\/li>\n
                    2. Click<\/span> the \"Description:\u00a0Delete button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                      Copy Path to Clipboard<\/h4>\n
                        \n
                      1. Copy Path to Clipboard copies the selected asset\u2019s path into your system clipboard.<\/li>\n
                      2. Select<\/span> an item in Asset Browser<\/span>.<\/li>\n
                      3. Right-click<\/span> on asset and Select<\/span> Copy Path to Clipboard.<\/li>\n
                      4. You can now paste your path to the desired location.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                        Show URL<\/h4>\n
                          \n
                        1. The Show URL command will open the selected asset in your web browser to see a preview of the asset.<\/li>\n
                        2. Select<\/span> an item in Asset Browser<\/span>.<\/li>\n
                        3. Right-click<\/span> on asset and Select<\/span> Show URL.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                          Browse in Tab<\/h4>\n

                          Browse in Tab allows you to take an asset, whether it is in a search or browse view, and open that asset in another Browse tab.<\/p>\n

                            \n
                          1. Select<\/span> an item in Asset Browser<\/span>.<\/li>\n
                          2. Right-click<\/span> on asset and Select<\/span> Browse in Tab.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                            \n

                            Change Thumbnail<\/h4>\n

                            In Zoom 5.1 or greater, thumbnails can be replaced when an asset is a working copy on your computer<\/p>\n

                              \n
                            1. In Asset Browser<\/span>, select<\/span> an asset that is currently a working copy on your computer.<\/li>\n
                            2. Right-click<\/span> and select<\/span> Change Thumbnail<\/span>.<\/li>\n
                            3. Select<\/span> an image or file to replace the thumbnail with.<\/li>\n
