The following instructions describe how to perform a basic installation of Zoom Server on these systems. If you need the download link again, please\u00a0contact Evolphin Support.<\/div> <\/li><li><strong>Open<\/strong> the<span class=\"keyword\"> <em>zoom-server-win64.zip<\/em><\/span> file and <strong>navigate <\/strong>to the server folder.<\/li><li><strong>Open<\/strong> <span class=\"keyword\"><em>setup.exe<\/em><\/span><\/li><li><strong>Follow the instructions <\/strong>of the Zoom installer\u00a0wizard.<\/li><li>When prompted to restart the computer, <strong>select<\/strong> <em><span class=\"keyword\">Yes<\/span>\u00a0<\/em>to restart the computer.<\/li><li>Once your computer has restarted and you are logged in, you should see\u00a0the web browser window with the <span class=\"keyword\">Zoom Web Management Console<\/span> open. You may use one or more of these on the servers for Zoom. If multiple services are running on a server then it is recommended to follow an order while starting, restarting, or stopping them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The recommended <span class=\"keyword\">order to start\/restart services<\/span> is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Zoom HADR Service &#8211; for Zoom NonStop Servers<\/li><li>Zoom Services &#8211; for Zoom MAM Server and Zoom NonStop Servers<\/li><li>Zoom Preview Service &#8211; for Preview Server, Transcoder, Ingest Server<\/li><li>Zoom Curator Service &#8211; for Curator Server<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"keyword\">Stop the services in the reverse order.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following instructions describe how to safely stop and start&nbsp;Zoom Services on Windows Server 2008 and 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Start (or Restart) services<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Follow these steps to&nbsp;<span class=\"keyword\">start<\/span>&nbsp; Preview Service Network Settings<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Updating additional&nbsp;services and features<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Curator (enhanced searching)&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"note\">For the full details on this service please visit:&nbsp;https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/docs\/curator-configuration\/<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installing the service<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"instructions wp-block-list\"><li>From the Windows Command Prompt, <span class=\"command\">cd<\/span> to the directory <code>Zoom_Installation_Directory\/bin\/<\/code><\/li><li>The Curator service can be installed as a Windows service using the following command:\n<ul>\n<li><code>curatorserver install<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li><li>After the service installation, <span class=\"keyword\">Zoom Solr Service<\/span> can be controlled (start, stop, restart, etc.), like other Zoom services, from the Windows Services Manager or Task Manager.<\/li><li>Alternatively, the Curator service can be controlled using the following commands, from the Command Prompt:\n<ul>\n<li><code>curatorserver start<\/code> (Start the Curator service)<\/li>\n<li><code>curatorserver&nbsp;stop<\/code> (Stop the Curator service)<\/li>\n<li><code>curatorserver&nbsp;restart<\/code> (Restart the Curator service)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li><li>To uninstall Curator as a Windows services, use the following command in the Command Prompt:\n<ul>\n<li><code>curatorserver&nbsp;remove<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Configuring the service<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"warning\">For Curator configuration on a Zoom HADR setup, refer to the article on <a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/docs\/curator-configuration\/docs\/setup-of-curator-with-hadr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Setup of Curator with HADR<\/a>.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>These additional initial configuration steps are only needed when the Curator service is being set up on a separate machine. If the Curator service is to be run on the same machine installation as the Zoom service, then skip to the <a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/docs\/curator-configuration\/#fts-webmin-config\">next<\/a>&nbsp;section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"instructions wp-block-list\"><li>Manually <span class=\"command\">edit<\/span> the <code>Zoom_Installation_Directory\/conf\/server.xml<\/code> on the Zoom server in the following manner. <ul><li><span class=\"command\">Open<\/span> the <code>server.xml<\/code> in a text editor.<\/li><li>In the editor, <span class=\"command\">move<\/span> to the <code>ftsSpec<\/code> section.<\/li><li><span class=\"command\">Set<\/span> the <code>host<\/code> tag value to the Curator service machine\u2019s hostname or IP. <div class=\"example\">e.g. <code>&lt;host>zm04.company.com&lt;host><\/code><\/div><\/li><li><span class=\"command\">Set<\/span> the <code>solrDataDir<\/code> tag value to the Curator service database directory; see <a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/docs\/curator-configuration\/#config-solr-db-dir\">below<\/a> for a detailed description. <div class=\"note\"> <span style=\"font-size: 1rem; font-weight: inherit;\">The data directory is recommended to be located on a file-system that provides fast disk access, like local SSD drives, fiber-channel connected drives, etc.<\/span> <\/div><\/li><li><span class=\"command\">Save<\/span> the file. <\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><span class=\"command\">Copy<\/span> the <code>server.xml<\/code> file edited above, to the Curator server machine, overwriting <code>Zoom_Installation_Directory\/conf\/server.xml<\/code>. Alternatively, <span class=\"command\">edit<\/span> the <code>server.xml<\/code> file on the Curator server in the same manner as above.<\/li><li><span class=\"command\">Start\/Restart<\/span> the Curator Service<\/li><li><span class=\"command\">Start\/Restart<\/span> Zoom Service<\/li><li><span class=\"command\">Open<\/span> the Web-based Admin Console in a web browser. <div class=\"example\">Sample URL for the Admin Console: <code>http:\/\/localhost:8443<\/code><\/div><\/li><li><span class=\"command\">Open<\/span> the <span class=\"keyword\">Server Control Panel<\/span> from the left navigation panel.<\/li><li><span class=\"command\">Open<\/span> the <span class=\"keyword\">Curator-based Search Management<\/span> form in the central control panel.<\/li><li><span class=\"command\">Change<\/span> the config, as required, and then save the form. The descriptions of the various parameters are given below. <figure><a data-slb-group=\"5024\" data-slb-active=\"1\" data-slb-internal=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/CBSM-UI.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5529 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/CBSM-UI.png\" alt=\"Curator-based Search Management Form\"><\/a><\/figure><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The configurable parameters signify the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><code>File Content Index<\/code>: Specify whether Content Indexing has to be enabled or not.<\/li><li><code>File Content Search<\/code>: Specify whether Content-based Searching has to be enabled or not.<\/li><li><code>Non-File Content Index<\/code>: Specify whether Non-Content Indexing has to be enabled or not.<\/li><li><code>Non-File Content Search<\/code>: Specify whether Non-Content based Searching has to be enabled or not.<\/li><li><code>Host<\/code>: Curator service machine hostname or IP; as will be accessed from the Zoom service (<strong>Default<\/strong>: localhost)<\/li><li><code>Port<\/code>: The port on which the Curator service runs (<strong>Default<\/strong>: 8983)<\/li><li><code>Log Level<\/code>: The logging level to be used for Curator logs (<strong>Default<\/strong>: INFO)<\/li><li><code>Failed Documents Notification<\/code>: Frequency for sending email notifications to the super-admins about documents that failed to get indexed. It can be set to <code>daily<\/code>, <code>hourly<\/code>, <code>weekly<\/code>or, <code>disable<\/code>. (<strong>Default<\/strong>: daily).<\/li><li><code>Solr Data Dir<\/code>: Path to the Solr database directory on the Curator service machine; where the indexing information of the Zoom repository files is stored. (<strong>Default<\/strong>: \u201cZoom_Installation_Directory\/db\/solr-db\u201d ) <div class=\"warning\"> <span style=\"font-size: 1rem; font-weight: inherit;\">The <\/span><code style=\"font-size: 1rem; font-weight: inherit;\">Solr Data Dir<\/code><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; font-weight: inherit;\"> cannot be changed if the directory is no longer empty. That is, it cannot be changed after the first file got indexed successfully.<\/span> <\/div><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The other parameters are either non-configurable or, do not usually require any change from the defaults.
