With\u00a0Automatic Delink,\u00a0Zoom\u00a0marks old working copy files that have not been modified since the desired interval for cleanup by the user.<\/p>\n<p>When Delink is triggered, either automatically or manually, the assets are identified and marked for delinking and a new menu option is added to the Z menu. Using this new menu option, the user can look at the assets marked for delinking and then select and delink some or all of those from the working copies.<\/p>\n<div class=\"note\">\n<div class=\"content\">This feature is relevant for desktop applications only.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h4 id=\"enablingPeriodicCleanup\">Enable\/disable Automatic Delink marking<\/h4>\n<ol class=\"instructions\">\n<li><strong>Right-click<\/strong>\u00a0on the <span class=\"keyword\">Z<\/span> icon in your Windows taskbar\/Mac menu bar.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Select<\/strong> <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e8c8c8; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Settings<\/span> from the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Z<\/span> menu.<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"command\">Click<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Automatic Delink<\/span>\u00a0from the left side <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Configuration<\/span> pane in the\u00a0<span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Zoom Settings<\/span>\u00a0window.<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"command\">Select<\/span>\u00a0the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Enable periodic delink<\/span> checkbox to enable automatic periodic delink. <strong>Clear<\/strong> the\u00a0<span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Enable periodic delink<\/span>\u00a0checkbox to disable automatic periodic delink.\n<p id=\"zuvtagj\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9967 \" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/img_5c4953d7ad3be.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"enablingPeriodicCleanup\">Configure Delink settings<\/h4>\n<ol class=\"instructions\">\n<li><strong>Right-click<\/strong>\u00a0on the <span class=\"keyword\">Z<\/span> icon in your <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Windows taskbar<\/span> \/ <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Mac menu bar<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Select<\/strong> Settings from the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Z<\/span> menu.<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"command\">Click<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Automatic Delink<\/span> in the left side <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Configuration<\/span> pane in the\u00a0<span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Zoom Settings<\/span>\u00a0window.<\/li>\n<li>If <span style=\"color: #0091e4;\"><i>Automatic Delink<\/i><\/span>\u00a0is enabled then you can modify the following settings:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Automatic delink once in every<\/strong>\u00a0<em>(days) &#8211;\u00a0<\/em><strong>Specify<\/strong> the frequency with which Delink marker will be triggered. The default value is 15 days.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Remove assets not accessed in<\/strong>\u00a0<em>(days)<\/em>\u00a0&#8211; <strong>Specify<\/strong> the number of days since when a file from the working copy has not been modified for it to be subsequently marked for delinking.<\/li>\n<li>Optionally, <strong>click<\/strong> <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e8c8c8; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Reset<\/span> to revert back the delink settings to their default values, or update the above values as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"command\">Click<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"keyword\">Save<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"runAutoCleanNow\"><a id=\"manual\"><\/a>Manually running Delink marker<\/h4>\n<ol class=\"instructions\">\n<li><strong>Right-click<\/strong>\u00a0on the <span class=\"keyword\">Z<\/span> icon in your <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Windows taskbar<\/span> \/ <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Mac menu bar<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Select<\/strong> Settings from the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Z<\/span> menu.<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"command\">Click<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Automatic Delink<\/span> in the left side <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Configuration<\/span> pane in the\u00a0<span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Zoom Settings<\/span>\u00a0window.<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"command\">Click<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e8c8c8; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Clean now<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>A message appears informing the user that automatic delink marker will run in the background.\n<p id=\"iRlrxHI\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9966 \" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/img_5c49537006a6a.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"runAutoCleanNow\">Delinking<\/h4>\n<p>Before configuring delinking, the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Z<\/span> menu does not have the Delink option.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ZApyUoi\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9968 \" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/img_5c4955a888048.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This option is made available after the delink marker runs as per the Automatic Delink schedule or when the user manually chooses to run the delink marker by clicking <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e8c8c8; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Run now<\/span> on the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Automatic Delink<\/span>\u00a0page in the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Z Settings<\/span> window. After the delink marker has run and identified any valid file for delinking, a new menu option is available on the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Z<\/span> menu. Follow these steps to delink using this menu option:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Right-click<\/strong>\u00a0on the <span class=\"keyword\">Z<\/span> icon in your <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Windows taskbar<\/span> \/ <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Mac menu bar<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Select<\/strong> <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Delink xxx.xx approx<\/span> option from the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Z<\/span> menu.\n<p id=\"aLWVUvQ\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9969 \" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/img_5c49565d4b037.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>The <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Delink<\/span> window is displayed, showing all marked assets. All these assets are also selected by default.\n<p id=\"cWUPPAW\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9970 \" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/img_5c4956988465a.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Clear<\/strong> or <strong>select<\/strong> the checkbox\u00a0against a file, or folder, to select or remove it from the delink list.\n<p id=\"eZSRwFM\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9971 \" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/img_5c498b2276add.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Click<\/strong> <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e8c8c8; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Delink<\/span>.\n<p id=\"MrLisvi\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9972 \" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/img_5c4990097996c.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Select<\/strong> the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Delink even if conflicted or locked<\/span> checkbox to instruct Zoom to delink an asset even if it is in a conflicted or locked state.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Select<\/strong> the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Delete delinked path from working copy<\/span>\u00a0checkbox to remove the asset and its path information from your local working copy. If this not selected then the asset will only be delinked from Zoom, but not be deleted.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Click<\/strong> Yes to begin delinking. A confirmation message appears to inform that delinking is complete.\n<p id=\"WnnPnQg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9973 \" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/img_5c49935265f0b.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Click<\/strong> <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e8c8c8; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Ok<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>This <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Delink<\/span> menu option will appear automatically after the duration of time configured in the delinking settings on the Z settings window. Start from step 1 to begin delinking.\n<div class=\"note\">To make this menu option appear out of turn before the set schedule, follow the steps mentioned above for <a href=\"#manual\">manually running the Delink marker<\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>You may delink anytime after the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Delink<\/span> menu option is available.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The number of working copies on a computer can stack up over time.
