Configuring Default Zoom Server – for versions before Zoom 6.0.0<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

  1. In the sidebar<\/span>, click<\/span> Server\/WC Settings<\/span>.

  2. Click<\/span> Add<\/span>.

    Click add in the Server\/WC Settings<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/li>\n
  3. Under Server Url<\/span>, set<\/span> the URL to your Zoom Server.\n
    \n
    Ex. http:\/\/<MyZoomServer>:8880<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
    \n
    Port 8880 is the default port for Zoom client to connect to Zoom server<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  4. Under Server Alias<\/span>, set<\/span> the alias for Zoom.\n
    \n
    Ex. Zoom<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
    \n
    The alias can be used in the Zoom interface as a replacement for the Server URL. Make sure the server alias does not contain any white space characters.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  5. Click<\/span> OK<\/span>.<\/li>\n
  6. If prompted to login, login<\/span> to Zoom using your Zoom credentials<\/span>.<\/li>\n
  7. Select<\/span> your newly created Zoom Server in the Server and Working Copy Settings<\/span> list.<\/li>\n
  8. Click<\/span> Make Default<\/span>.<\/li>\n
  9. To have your Zoom Client always connect to the same server, check<\/span> Always Use Default<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Changing Default Checkout Path<\/h3>\n

    By default, assets are checked out to the following locations:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Mac: <\/strong>\/Users\/[YourUsername]\/Documents\/Evolphin Zoom<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Windows: <\/strong>C:\\Users\\[YourUsername]\\My Documents\\Evolphin Zoom<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      This location is configurable:<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Click<\/span> the Server\/WC Settings<\/span> section in Zoom Settings<\/span>.<\/li>\n
      2. Under Default Checkout Location<\/span>, click<\/span> the Browse<\/span> button.<\/li>\n
      3. Navigate<\/span> to your new location.<\/li>\n
      4. Click<\/span> Select<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Disabling Default Checkout Path<\/h3>\n

        Zoom can be configured to be prompt to checkout a file every time an asset is checked out. It is, however, not recommended to disable this function unless you explicitly prefer this option.<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Click<\/span> the Server\/WC Settings<\/span> section in Zoom Settings<\/span>.<\/li>\n
        2. Under Always Use Default Checkout Path<\/span>, disable<\/span> the checkbox<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Using Default Working Copy<\/h3>\n

          In Zoom, you can specify a default working copy<\/span> folder. Zoom<\/span> will default to that working copy whenever you select options such as the Z-menu > Checkin<\/span> command. This is useful when you are using the same folder all the time and need to checkin that folder quickly.<\/p>\n

          1. Click<\/span> the Server\/WC Settings<\/span> section in Zoom Settings<\/span>.<\/li>\n
          2. Under Default Working Copy<\/span>, click<\/span> the Browse<\/span> button.<\/li>\n
          3. Navigate<\/span> to your new location.<\/li>\n
