{"id":16479,"date":"2021-02-24T09:07:22","date_gmt":"2021-02-24T14:07:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/?p=16479"},"modified":"2021-02-24T23:59:00","modified_gmt":"2021-02-25T04:59:00","slug":"upgrading-zoom-for-windows","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/deployment\/zoom-client-install\/upgrading-zoom-for-windows\/","title":{"rendered":"Upgrading Zoom for Windows"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This section describes the procedure to upgrade the Zoom client for Release 8.0 or later, if you are using Windows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Before you begin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>See <a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/deployment\/zoom-client-install\/upgrading-zoom-client\/\">Upgrading Zoom Client<\/a> for information about upgrading the Zoom client for prior releases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prerequisites<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You must uninstall the Zoom client from your system and then install the latest version of the Zoom client.<br><strong>Note:<\/strong> Perform this procedure if you are not using the \u201cEZ Updater\u201d for Zoom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Uninstall<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Go to <strong>Start &gt; Control Panel<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Click <strong>Programs and Features<\/strong>. The &#8220;Uninstall or change a program&#8221; window appears.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Search for and select <strong>Evolphin Zoom DAM Client<\/strong> from the list of programs.<\/li><li>Click <strong>Uninstall<\/strong>. If you are prompted to confirm this action. Click <strong>Yes<\/strong> to continue.<\/li><li>Complete the steps presented in the &#8220;Uninstall&#8221; wizard.<\/li><li>You will be prompted to close related applications to finish the uninstall process. Click <strong>OK<\/strong> to do so.&nbsp;<\/li><li>When prompted to restart your system, click <strong>Yes<\/strong> to restart.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Install<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Download the latest build of the Zoom Client. If you do not have the latest version of Zoom, contact <a href=\"https:\/\/support.evolphin.com\/\">support<\/a> for detailed information about all versions of Zoom that are available for download.<\/li><li>Unzip the downloaded zipped file to extract its contents.<\/li><li>Within the extracted contents, open the \u201cClient\u201d folder.<\/li><li>Double-click <strong>setup.exe<\/strong> to run the executable file.<br><strong>Note:<\/strong>&nbsp;If your system displays a warning about running files from unknown publishers, choose to run the program anyway.<\/li><li>When prompted to provide Administrator permissions to run this application, click <strong>Yes<\/strong>. The \u201cInstall\u201d wizard opens.<\/li><li>Complete the steps presented by the \u201cInstall\u201d wizard.<\/li><li>When prompted to restart your system, click <strong>Yes<\/strong> to restart.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Results<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Zoom Client is now being installed. This installation will complete with the restart of your system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Post-install steps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After installation, you can verify if the current version of the Zoom client is the same as the server. To do so:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Click the <strong>Evolphin<\/strong> icon to open the menu.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Click <strong>About Zoom<\/strong>.<\/li><li>The \u201cEvolphin Zoom Client\u201d dialog displays the version number of the Zoom client that is currently installed.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This section describes the procedure to upgrade the Zoom client for Release 8.0 or later, if you are using Windows.
