{"id":14981,"date":"2020-05-21T08:22:17","date_gmt":"2020-05-21T12:22:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/?p=14981"},"modified":"2020-05-21T08:22:18","modified_gmt":"2020-05-21T12:22:18","slug":"troubleshooting-ez-client-installation-on-mac","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/administration-server\/ez\/ez-faq\/troubleshooting-ez-client-installation-on-mac\/","title":{"rendered":"Troubleshooting EZ Client installation on Mac"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fixing the Installer that stops responding<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If the installer stops responding while installing the EZ Client, then follow these steps to fix it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Select<\/strong> Force Quit from the Apple menu.<\/li><li><strong>Select<\/strong> the Installer app from the Force Quit window and <strong>click<\/strong> Force Quit.<\/li><li>The installer will stop. You should <strong>follow the steps<\/strong> in the next section to ensure that the installer is unblocked before trying to install EZ Client again.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Unblocking the Installer app<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If the installer was denied permission to access some files and folders during the installation, then you would need to reinstall the EZ Client. Also, before reinstalling, you need to unblock the installer. Follow these steps to see how to unblock the installer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note\">You would also need to unblock the installer if it stops responding during installation and you subsequently Force Quit it using the macOS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Open<\/strong> System Preferences from the Apple menu.<\/li><li><strong>Click<\/strong> Security &amp; Privacy and then <strong>open<\/strong> the Privacy tab.<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-43.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-43.png\"><\/a><\/p><\/li><li><strong>Scroll through<\/strong> the left-side panel and <strong>select<\/strong> Full Disk Access. Apps that have requested permission for Full Disk Access are shown in the right-side panel.<\/li><li><strong>Look for<\/strong> the Installer app in the right-side panel. If the Installer app is in the list but not the checkbox in front of it is not selected then we need to delete this entry.<\/li><li><strong>Click<\/strong> on the lock icon on the lower-right corner of the window and <strong>authorize<\/strong> it with your user name\/password to allow edits to the values shown.<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-44.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-44.png\"><\/a><\/p><\/li><li>Now, <strong>select<\/strong> the Installer app and <strong>click<\/strong> &#8211; below the apps list to remove it from the Full Disk Access list.<\/li><li>Next, <strong>scroll through<\/strong> the left-side panel and <strong>select<\/strong> Files and Folders. Apps that have requested permission for Files and Folders are shown in the right-side panel.<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-43.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-43.png\"><\/a><\/p><\/li><li><strong>Look for<\/strong> the Installer app in the right-side panel. Notice the Downloads Folder is listed below it.<\/li><li><strong>Select<\/strong> the Downloads Folder checkbox if it is not already selected.<\/li><li>The fix is now complete.
