An asset can independently move between different tiers of the hierarchy as configured for the system. You need to set up a Hub Server for this to work. The Hub manages the jobs that move assets between tiers and provides reports for the admin users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zoom 7.6.x users, please redirect to the article <a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/administration-server\/archive\/getting-started-with-zoom-client-side-hub\/\">here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note\">The 7.6.x releases, which are part of our <strong>Resilience<\/strong> series, were specifically built for the pandemic-stricken world where most people have been forced to work remotely. This series builds on collaboration over the WWW, and leverages the benefits of cloud storages like Amazon S3. This series has some significant differences from the other versions in how the archive flow works. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From Zoom 7.3 onwards, the framework for setting up Hierarchical Archive is installed with Zoom. It is ready to use after the license is enabled, it is configured in Zoom, and a Hub Server is set up to manage Hierarchical Archive jobs. After setting up the Hierarchical Archive, once an archive\/restore job is triggered in Zoom, it runs independently of Zoom processes as it is managed by the Hub Server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you evaluate and conclude that you need Hierarchical Archive with your Zoom setup, you need to begin by ensuring that these prerequisites are met:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Ensure you have received an <a href=\"\/docs\/archive\/checking-archive-license\/\">Archive and Hierarchical Archive license<\/a> from Evolphin Sales.<\/li><li>Designate a server machine inside your network as the Hub. This could also be on the existing Zoom Server or Preview Server machine. This machine also needs Java 8 or higher.<\/li><li>Plan on having an exclusive Zoom user account for the Hub. One Zoom user account per Hub will be needed.<\/li><li>Choose a machine to install SQL Server or use an existing SQL Server for job reporting.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>After the prerequisites are met, follow these steps to set up Hierarchical Archive:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"#enable-hierarchical-archive-in-zoom\">Enable Hierarchical Archive in Zoom<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"#add-hub-configuration-in-zoom\">Add Hub configuration in Zoom<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"#set-up-hub-server\">Set up Hub Server<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"#validate-your-hierarchical-archive-setup\">Validate your Hierarchical Archive setup<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enable Hierarchical Archive in Zoom<\/h2>\n\n\n<div data-post-id=\"13322\" class=\"insert-page insert-page-13322 \">\n<p>While enabling Hierarchical Archive we need to also enable Basic Archive on Zoom, if it is not already done. Follow these steps to enable Hierarchical Archive <a href=\"\/docs\/archive\/basic-archive-settings\/\">after setting up basic archive<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Open the <span class=\"keyword\">Web Management Console<\/span> for your Zoom Server. <div class=\"note example\">ex.<span class=\"keyword\">\u00a0http:\/\/localhost:8443<\/span>\u00a0or\u00a0<span class=\"keyword\">http:\/\/&lt;zoomserver>:8443<\/span><\/div><\/li><li><span class=\"command\">Log in<\/span>\u00a0using your admin credentials.<\/li><li>In the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Admin Menu<\/span> sidebar,\u00a0<span class=\"command\">click <\/span><span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Server Control Panel<\/span>\u00a0under the\u00a0<span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">System<\/span>\u00a0node.<\/li><li>Click <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Hierarchical Archive Settings<\/span>\u00a0on the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Server Control Panel<\/span> page. <p id=\"GpRDxVV\"><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Hierarchical-Spec.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15816\" width=\"623\" height=\"478\" srcset=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Hierarchical-Spec.png 831w, https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Hierarchical-Spec-300x230.png 300w, https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Hierarchical-Spec-768x589.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 623px) 100vw, 623px\" \/><figcaption>Hierarchical Archive Settings<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Click Enable Ingest Time Archive Flow to enable automatically copying of the external assets to tier-2 storage, at the time of ingest. This automatic copying is triggered at the time of asset ingest and is completed in the background silently.<\/li><li>Click Show Additional Options for Archive \/ Restore to view Hierarchical Archive options while choosing archive\/restore for proxy assets in the Asset Browser.<\/li><li>The other settings are already set to their default values. Click Enable Tier-1 Archive of Direct Assets and Enable Tier-2 Archive of Direct Assets to enable Hierarchical Archive for direct assets. Tier-1 Archive should be enabled for Tier-2 Archive to work.<\/li><li>Choose a Default Archive Location to only allow archive from the chosen location when Auto-Retirement is triggered.<\/li><li>Archive Metadata Group shows the metadata group used for storing metadata values related to archiving. The default metadata group name &#8216;ZARC&#8217; is already filled here. If you wish to use another metadata group for this purpose, then specify another valid metadata group name here. If the metadata group name specified here does not exist, then the archive will fail later. The default metadata group specified here has all the required metadata fields for saving archive related information.<\/li><li>Supported Storage Type shows the archive options that will be shown on the Hierarchical Archive options window in Asset Browser. Specify the archive storage type you have configured like FS (for File System), S3. However, you also need the specified storage types configured in Zoom for it to work. Check <a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/docs\/archive\/archive-modules-in-zoom\/\">here<\/a> to know about the storage types supported with Zoom.<\/li><li>Specify the Default Tier-2 Storage Type for the tier-2 archive of direct assets and automatic ingest time archive of assets. By default, it is set to use FS (for File System).<\/li><li>In the Archive Exclusion Rule box, you can specify an exclusion rule for assets using metadata values. If the rule is true for any asset then that asset will not be archived. This is run for all assets sent for archiving, automatic, manual, or through auto-retirement. Specifying the exclusion rule is optional. The exclusion rule is specified as one or more metadata field and value pairs in JSON format. For example, if we want an asset to be excluded from archiving if it has IPTC_City set as (Sydney or Berlin) or IPTC_Country set as Japan, then the exclusion rule should be: {&#8220;IPTC_City&#8221;:[&#8220;Sydney&#8221;,&#8221;Berlin&#8221;], &#8220;IPTC_Country&#8221;:[&#8220;Japan&#8221;]}<\/li><li>[For SGL deployments] Enter the path to the custom SGL script, and the batch size for archive operations in the respective fields. (Contact Evolphin support team if you would like to purchase SGL support).<\/li><li>In <em>Zoom 7.6.2<\/em>, you can configure the Zoom purge operations to also clean up the external hi-res \/ mid-res \/ image-sequence assets from the archive storage location like the S3; this will also clear the assets from the user&#8217;s local TPM paths or the shared P-SAN paths. You can check <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/administration-server\/archive\/purging-external-assets\/\" target=\"_blank\">this <\/a>article for more details.<\/li><li>In <em>Zoom 7.6.2,<\/em> you can prevent the low-res component of an asset from getting archived if the transcoder is still waiting to generate the proxy file for that asset. (If the transcoder has not yet generated the proxy file, and checked it in, the low-res component up until that point is simply the placeholder file that would have been ingested during the original check-in; it does not make sense to archive this placeholder, and also, if it were archived, the subsequent check-in of the true proxy file would fail!)<\/li><li>Click\u00a0Save.<\/li><li>In Zoom versions before 7.5, you will be prompted to restart the server.\u00a0Click\u00a0Yes.<\/li><li>Refresh\u00a0your web browser.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Hierarchical Archive settings are now saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Add Hub configuration in Zoom<\/h2>\n\n\n<div data-post-id=\"13317\" class=\"insert-page insert-page-13317 \">\n<p>Zoom stores Hub configuration settings to connect with a Hub Server. These configuration values should be added to Zoom before installing the Hub Server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"note\">If these Hub configuration values in Zoom are updated after installing and starting the Hub Server, then restart the Hub after you have finished updating these values.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>Log in<\/strong> to&nbsp;the <span class=\"keyword\">Web Management Console<\/span> and&nbsp;<strong>click<\/strong> the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Hub Settings Panel<\/span> under the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">System<\/span> node in the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Admin Menu<\/span> sidebar.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/img_5dde4fa0dcb1d.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/img_5dde4fa0dcb1d.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13609\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">On the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Hub Settings Panel<\/span>, <strong>click<\/strong><\/span><\/span> <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e8c8c8; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Add Hub<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">and specify a name for the new Hub. If you want to copy the settings of an existing Hub to your new Hub, select the existing Hub name from the Copy Configuration From Hub drop-down, otherwise leave it blank. <strong>Click<\/strong> <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e8c8c8; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Add<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"warning\">From Zoom 7.5 onwards, make sure to keep the same name for the Hub here in the Web Management Console and while registering the Hub with Zoom using hub.xml file on the Hub Server. If the names are different then Zoom will not be able to identify that Hub.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"note\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">You can also select an existing Hub from the list and its settings will be loaded in the Hub Settings Panel. You can delete a Hub configuration by selecting it from in the Hub box and clicking Delete.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"warning\">For Zoom 7.3 only, if you are using multiple Hubs in a multi-location Zoom setup and you want a Hub to work for only one location, then name the Hub as that location.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/img_5dde4f5bc7d5e.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/img_5dde4f5bc7d5e.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13607\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Update<\/strong> basic connectivity details for the Hub, like Host (IP) and Port settings. For location-specific settings, also <strong>specify<\/strong> the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">location<\/span> where the Hub should work. If using SSL, select the Enable Secure Hub Connection checkbox.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/img_5e256be9c4818.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/img_5e256be9c4818-1024x328.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13774\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the basic connectivity parameters are specified, <strong>enter<\/strong> values for the advanced configuration. It is categorized into two parts namely the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Functional Configuration<\/span> and the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Archive\/Restore Configuration<\/span>. See the sections below to know about the values that should be entered for these:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"note\">If you are configuring Hub for AI, only Functional Configuration (SQL Settings) details are needed.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Functional Configuration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>These values are needed for the basic working of the Hub. It covers Process Control values, SQL DB values, and IP Whitelisting values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/img_5dde47d2c6a46.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/img_5dde47d2c6a46.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13596\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Process Control<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>These are configuration parameters that control how responsive the Hub will be and must be filled in based on your assessment of the expected load that the Hub is supposed to handle. If you are unsure about this, then use the default values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/img_5dde486c2ea66.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/img_5dde486c2ea66.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13598\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Click<\/strong> <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e8c8c8; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Advance Settings<\/span> to see additional Process Control options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Max Retry Count:<\/strong> Number of times the failed jobs are retried automatically.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Enable Hub Analytics:<\/strong> Flag to turn on or off the Analytics module on the Hub.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Core Pool Size:<\/strong> Minimum number of threads that will be created by default for job execution.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Max Pool Size:<\/strong> Maximum number of threads that can be created for job execution.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Queue Blocking Limit:<\/strong> Number of jobs that can be queued in the Hub for processing.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li><li><strong>Keep Alive Time:<\/strong> Duration (in minutes) for which resources are kept when the Hub is not servicing any requests; after this duration, the resources are surrendered.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SQL Settings<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Hub uses a SQL Server to store job-related details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/img_5dde49b6cf39e.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/img_5dde49b6cf39e.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13599\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Zoom Server also uses SQL to store process data for some of its other modules too. If it is already configured for your Transcoder and you would like to use the same SQL database for the Hub as well, then simply select the <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Use Same as Transcoder<\/span> option. If you want to create a new or separate SQL database for the Hub, then follow instructions <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.mysql.com\/downloads\/installer\/\">here<\/a> to download your OS-specific installer of <span class=\"keyword\">MySQL<\/span>.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong> Run<\/strong> the installer and <strong>follow<\/strong> the instructions. <strong>Create<\/strong> a user and <strong>provide<\/strong> the host, username, password, driver (com.mysql.cj.jdbc.Driver) details here.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">IP Whitelist<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>For security reasons, only IPs configured here will be allowed to communicate with the Hub Server. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Typically, the Zoom Server sends requests to the Hub. In addition, anyone <a href=\"\/docs\/hub\/hub-dashboard\/\">viewing the Hub Dashboard<\/a>&nbsp;will also be sending queries and so the IPs of all clients who would need access to the Hub Dashboard must also be added here.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/img_5dde4a97b07f1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/img_5dde4a97b07f1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13600\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Add<\/strong> the list of IPs from which Hub will entertain requests. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"note\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If this is left blank, then the Hub will service requests from all machines.<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div>\n<div class=\"note\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you use IPv6, then make sure that both IPv4 and IPv6 settings are specified here.<br><\/span><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Archive\/Restore Configuration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>These values are needed for the handling of Archive jobs with the Hub. It covers paths and projects covered under various tiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tier 0 is considered to be the Zoom repository. Tier 1 is any path that Zoom can access other than its own repository. And, tier 2 is an external path that Zoom cannot access. For tier 2 paths, Zoom only updates the required metadata for the asset and waits for the Hub to pick up this asset to be moved to tier 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tier 0 &#8211; Zoom Repo<\/li><li>Tier 1 &#8211; Anything accessible by Zoom but not the Zoom Repo<\/li><li>Tier 2 &#8211; External Paths not accessible by Zoom<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/img_5dde4b7431e80.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/img_5dde4b7431e80.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13601\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this section, the details of all destination tiers are added.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"note\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All the paths should be with respect to the Hub Server.<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FS Tier 1<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Configure any File System paths, that are used by Zoom, for use by the Hub. The paths should be with respect to Hub and mount points should be mounted on Hub as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Default: Comma-separated list of TPM (Third Party Mount point) paths whose assets are expected to be archived using the current Hub.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Direct Asset Archive DB Mount Path: <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The default location where the Zoom Server archives the direct-ingest assets.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li><li>Project-wise TPM Mapping: Project-specific archive destination locations for proxy and direct assets as configured in the Zoom Server archive settings.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FS Tier 2<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Configure any File System paths here that will not be accessible by Zoom, but by the Hub for archiving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Default: Comma-separated list of TPM paths whose assets are expected to be archived using the current Hub.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Project-wise TPM Mapping: Project-specific archive destination locations for tier-2 archiving.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">S3 Tier 2<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Configure S3 paths here that would be accessed by the Hub to save to its S3 bucket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter the details of the Amazon S3 bucket like the secret key, access key, and region. It is also possible to define unique S3 buckets for project-wise mapping. Restart the Evolphin Job Hub service to see the changes. Check <span data-post-id=\"566\" class=\"insert-page insert-page-566 \"><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/administration-server\/starting-and-stopping-zoom-services\/\">Starting and Stopping Zoom Services (Linux)<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span> or <span data-post-id=\"490\" class=\"insert-page insert-page-490 \"><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/administration-server\/starting-and-stopping-zoom-services-windows\/\">Starting and Stopping Zoom Services (Windows)<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span> to know more about restarting this service.<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"warning\">Please be very careful when you try to edit the TPM paths or the Tier details. If you archive assets to a certain S3 bucket or a file-system location, and the configuration is changed after that then there is no way of accessing these assets from the previously-stored location. Thereafter, any attempt to restore assets from the lost configuration will fail with a <em>data loss error<\/em>. This will not be able to be corrected without a significant amount of manual intervention and copying of data.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Set up Hub Server<\/h2>\n\n\n<div data-post-id=\"13255\" class=\"insert-page insert-page-13255 \">\n<p>You need the Hub Server to manage jobs for various Zoom modules like Hierarchical Archive or AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can install it on any server in your Zoom network. Check that you have the Hub installer from Evolphin Support before proceeding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installing the Hub<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Extract the shared Hub installer zip\/tar to any path on your designated Hub Server machine and follow the steps below to install the Hub:<br><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">On Windows<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Open<\/strong> <span class=\"keyword\">Command Line<\/span> as an administrator.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Navigate<\/strong> <strong>to<\/strong> the \\bin folder inside the extracted Hub build files.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Run<\/strong> Hub install (this will register Evolphin Job Hub as a service)<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Run<\/strong> Hub start (this will start the Hub Server)<\/span>\n<div class=\"note\">To stop use <em>Hub stop<\/em>; for restart use <em>Hub restart<\/em>. To remove this service use <em>Hub remove<\/em>.<\/div>\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On Linux<br><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Navigate<\/strong> to the \/bin folder inside the extracted Hub build files.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Run<\/strong> .\/Hub start (this will start Hub server)<\/span>\n<div class=\"note\">To stop use <em>.\/Hub stop<\/em>, for restart use <em>.\/Hub restart<\/em> and to remove this service use <em>.\/Hub remove<\/em>.<\/div>\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"note\">Hub runs as a service called <strong>Evolphin Job Hub<\/strong> on the Hub Server.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Registering with Zoom<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After installing the Hub using the steps above, you also need to update one or more XML files with the correct configuration before registering with Zoom. When you start the Hub for the first time then it is registered with Zoom using the configuration settings in these XML files. Follow these steps on your Hub machine:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Navigate<\/strong> to the <em>\/conf<\/em> folder inside the folder where you have installed the Hub and <strong>locate<\/strong> <span class=\"keyword\">hub.xml<\/span>.<\/li><li><strong>Open<\/strong> hub.xml <strong>for editing<\/strong>.\n<div class=\"json\" style=\"background: #4b4d50; color: white; font-size: 80%; padding: 10px;\">&lt;JobHubServerSpec&gt;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&lt;host&gt;localhost&lt;\/host&gt;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&lt;port&gt;8282&lt;\/port&gt;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&lt;configPort&gt;7272&lt;\/configPort&gt;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&lt;stagingArea&gt;C:\\EJH\\staging&lt;\/stagingArea&gt;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&lt;enableDebug&gt;false&lt;\/enableDebug&gt;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&lt;hubName&gt;GlobalHub&lt;\/hubName&gt;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&lt;s3MultipartUploadThreshold&gt;5242881&lt;\/s3MultipartUploadThreshold&gt;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&lt;s3MultipartUploadThreadCount&gt;5&lt;\/s3MultipartUploadThreadCount&gt;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&lt;ZoomSpec&gt;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&lt;adminServer&gt;http:\/\/localhost:8443&lt;\/adminServer&gt;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&lt;zoomUser&gt;&lt;\/zoomUser&gt;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&lt;zoomPassword&gt;&lt;\/zoomPassword&gt;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&lt;tpmPrefix&gt;TPM:&lt;\/tpmPrefix&gt;&gt;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&lt;\/ZoomSpec&gt;<br>&lt;\/JobHubServerSpec&gt;<\/div>\n<\/li><li><strong>Update<\/strong> these tags as needed:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>hubName:<\/strong> specify the name for this Hub as given in the Web Management Console.<\/li>\n<li><strong>host<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> check that it has the IP\/hostname for the Hub Server machine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>adminServer:<\/strong> specify Zoom Server&#8217;s URL with port used for Web Management Console.<\/li>\n<li><strong>zoomUser<\/strong> and&nbsp;<strong>zoomPassword:<\/strong> specify a dedicated Zoom user account and password here for use by this Hub machine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li><li><strong>Save<\/strong> and <strong>close<\/strong> hub.xml.<\/li><li>In the same <em>\/conf<\/em> folder, <strong>locate<\/strong> <span class=\"keyword\">ai-spec.xml<\/span>.<\/li><li><strong>Open<\/strong> ai-spec.xml <strong>for editing<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong>Update<\/strong> the tag <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>previewServerUrl<\/strong> with the URL to access Preview Server, that is hostname with the port. For example, <i>&lt;previewServerUrl&gt;http:\/\/192.168.0.183:8873&lt;\/previewServerUrl&gt;.<\/i><\/span><\/li><li><strong>Save<\/strong> and <strong>close<\/strong> ai-spec.xml.<\/li><li><strong>Start<\/strong> the Hub service (check <span data-post-id=\"566\" class=\"insert-page insert-page-566 \"><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/administration-server\/starting-and-stopping-zoom-services\/\">Starting and Stopping Zoom Services (Linux)<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span> or <span data-post-id=\"490\" class=\"insert-page insert-page-490 \"><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/administration-server\/starting-and-stopping-zoom-services-windows\/\">Starting and Stopping Zoom Services (Windows)<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span> to know more about starting this service).<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"note\">Before starting the Hub, make sure that its configuration has been added into Zoom using the Web Management Console.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hub is now registered with Zoom. If needed, you can modify these settings here in the XML files and <a href=\"\/docs\/zoom-server\/administration-server\/hub\/managing-hubs-in-zoom\/#hub-configuration-in-zoom\">update other Hub configuration parameters through the Zoom Web Management Console<\/a>. However, you need to restart Hub service after any change to Hub parameters is made (in the XML files or in Zoom Web Management Console).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Validate your Hierarchical Archive setup<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After setting up your Hub, you can see how the hierarchical archive works by following this example.<\/p>\n\n\n<div data-post-id=\"12242\" class=\"insert-page insert-page-12242 \">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Zoom Hierarchical Archive Flow<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note\">In Zoom 7.6.2, there are some changes in this module. Check <a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/administration-server\/archive\/archive-cleanup-restore\/\">this<\/a> article for details. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In the Asset Browser or Web Asset Browser, <strong>s<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>elect<\/strong> one or more assets to be archived (Tier 0 to Tier 1) and <strong>select<\/strong> Archive from the Action menu. You could also right-click on the selected assets to select Archive from the context menu in the Asset Browser. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new Hierarchical Archive window is shown.<br><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12099\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d1c94adae717.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"457\" height=\"285\"><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Select<\/strong> which resolution\/proxy asset you want to archive. (one or more from Hi-Res, Mid-Res, or Direct are shown depending on which of these are supported for the selected assets).&nbsp;<\/span><\/li><li><strong>Select<\/strong> Target Storage Type. Currently, <strong><span class=\"keyword\">FS<\/span><\/strong> (File System) and <span class=\"keyword\"><strong>S3<\/strong> <\/span>(Amazon S3) are supported.<\/li><li><strong>Click<\/strong> Archive. Check the Zoom Archive Info metadata group. The archive status for the corresponding resolution gets updated to <span class=\"keyword\">Pending Archive<\/span> and the Native Target Location gets updated to reflect the destination. For the example shown below, the Native Target Location is the Tier 2 S3 bucket.&nbsp;<br><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12101\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d1c955792c3e.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"262\"><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Later, when this request is picked up by the Hub for processing, the status changes to <span class=\"keyword\">Ongoing Archive<\/span> and a job ID is also assigned to the operation. This job ID can be used for searching in the hub dashboard to get the most recent status of the asset\/job. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12102\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d1c95f22578e.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"258\"><br><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the request is invalid for some reason, the status changes to <span class=\"keyword\">Failed Archive<\/span>.<\/span><\/li><li>Correspondingly, the hub dashboard shows the updated job status. Initially, it shows a job&#8217;s status as <span class=\"keyword\">Pending<\/span>. At this point, the hub is waiting to inspect the assets in the job to estimate the time of completion.<br><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-12353\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/1-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1207\" height=\"211\"><\/li><li>After that the status changes to <span class=\"keyword\">Not Started<\/span>, and then proceeds to <span class=\"keyword\">File Copy Started <\/span>\/ <span class=\"keyword\">External Copy Started<\/span>, <span class=\"keyword\">Completed<\/span>, <span class=\"keyword\">Failed<\/span> etc depending on the outcome at each stage.&nbsp;<br><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-12354\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1208\" height=\"211\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-12355\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1213\" height=\"212\"><\/figure><p><\/p>\n<\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After completion of a request, the status gets updated to <span class=\"keyword\">Completed Archive<\/span> and the<\/span> Native Target Location<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;is set to empty once again.<br><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12103\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d1c96cb8a69f.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"265\"><\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The asset&#8217;s chosen proxy is now archived. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Archived assets are identified by the Archive icon on their thumbnails.
