All required services are installed with the Zoom Server installer and then the rest of Curator configuration is done using the Web Management Console only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Curator setup after Zoom upgrade to 7.3<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You need to set up a new Curator Server after upgrading to Zoom 7.3<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After installing Zoom 7.3 on your Zoom MAM Server, you can begin configuring your Curator Server.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Designate a server to be used as the Curator Server. It could be a new or an existing server machine in your setup.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If it is a new server machine, install the Zoom Server on this machine before proceeding further.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you plan to use an existing server machine, choose any from your Zoom MAM Server or Preview Server.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Follow these steps to <\/span>set up a New Curator<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>On Linux:<\/b><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On your designated Curator Server, <strong>start<\/strong> Zoom Curator Service. Zoom <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Curator service can be controlled, like other Zoom Services, with the following commands on the Linux Terminal:<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<code class=\"\">service curator-server status<\/code><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Check the status of Curator service)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<code class=\"\">service curator-server start<\/code><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Start the Curator service)&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<code class=\"\">service curator-server stop<\/code><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Stop the Curator service)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<code class=\"\">service curator-server restart<\/code><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Restart Curator service)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>On Windows:<\/b><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On your designated Curator Server, <strong>start<\/strong> Zoom Curator Service. <\/span><span class=\"keyword\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zoom Curator Service<\/span><\/i><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> can be controlled, like other Zoom services, from the Windows Services Manager or Task Manager.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"note\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Curator service is not enabled by default.<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00a0Add New Curator:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><b>Log into<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> your <\/span><span class=\"keyword\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Web Management Console <\/span><\/i><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">as an admin from one of your server machines like Zoom MAM Server, Preview Server or a new Curator Server machines (due to IP whitelisting restrictions).<\/span> <div class=\"example\"><i>Sample URL for the Web Management Console is http:\/\/localhost:8443\/<\/i><\/div><\/li><li><b>Open<\/b> Curator node under the System node in the Admin Menu sidebar. Open <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Curator Configuration<\/span> from the Curator node. <figure><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d24a6d08e6f9.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"835\" height=\"445\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12470 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d24a6d08e6f9-1024x546.png\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/figure><p id=\"kcVPRLp\"><\/li><li><strong>Click<\/strong> <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e8c8c8; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Add New Curator<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span> <figure><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d24a6e44d00d.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"835\" height=\"445\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12471 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d24a6e44d00d-1024x546.png\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/figure><p id=\"OqdzStA\"><\/li><li><strong>Click<\/strong> <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e8c8c8; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Add<\/span> to add a new curator. <figure><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d24b1207a099.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"835\" height=\"445\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12472 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d24b1207a099-1024x546.png\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/figure><\/li><li><strong>Specify<\/strong> a name for the new Curator, along with its hostname, and check the port number you plan to use with it. <strong>Enable<\/strong> SSL checkbox if you plan on using SSL with this Curator Server.<\/li><li><strong>Click<\/strong> <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e8c8c8; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Save<\/span>. The settings for the curator are saved and it is listed with its name in the list of Curator Servers on that page. You can <strong>select<\/strong> any curator from this list and <strong>click<\/strong> <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e8c8c8; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Delete<\/span> to delete the settings for that curator on the Zoom Server. You can also <strong>click<\/strong> <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e8c8c8; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Refresh<\/span> to refresh this list and the data for all curators. <strong>Double-click<\/strong> any curator row in the list to edit that curator&#8217;s settings.<\/li><li>You can <strong>repeat<\/strong> steps 4-6 to add another Curator Server.<\/li><li>The newly added curator is also listed in the drop-down boxes for <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Audit Curator Name<\/span> and <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Search Curator Name<\/span> above. <strong>Select<\/strong> other parameters for curator settings as shown below<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span> <ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\"><li><b>Content Search<\/b>:<b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">select to enable full-text search on the content of text-based assets.<\/span><\/b><\/li><li><strong>Non Content Search<\/strong>: <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">select to enable full-text search on non-content data of assets (like file name, metadata, etc.).<\/span><\/li><li><strong>Audit Content Search<\/strong>: <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">select to enable search on audit logs.<\/span><\/li><li><strong>Audit Curator name<\/strong>: <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">select Audit Curator from the list of available curators. This list shows the curators added as shown above. Indexing will run on the selected curator.<\/span><\/li><li><strong>Search Curator name<\/strong>: <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">select Search Curator from the list of available curators. This list shows the curators added as shown above. Indexing will run on the selected curator.<\/span> <\/li><\/ol><\/li><li><b>Click <\/b><span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e8c8c8; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Save<\/span> to save these settings. The settings are saved.<\/li><li>Go back to the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Curator Configuration<\/span> page and <strong>click<\/strong> the <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12473 \" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d24c0beb37cd.png\" alt=\"\"> Refresh button to update the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Select Curator<\/span> drop-down box. After refresh, the newly added curator is listed in the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Select Curator<\/span> box.<\/li><li><strong>Select<\/strong> your newly added curator from the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Select Curator<\/span> box. Once your new curator is selected from the Select Curator box, its URL is shown in the adjacent <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Curator URL<\/span> box.<\/li><li><strong>Click<\/strong> <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e8c8c8; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Get Info<\/span> to load this Curator&#8217;s settings in the boxes below. <figure><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d24db6bc31de.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"835\" height=\"445\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12481 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d24db6bc31de-1024x546.png\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/figure><\/li><li> You can <strong style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">edit<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; font-weight: inherit;\"> the Curator Server&#8217;s configuration in detail now. <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Update<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; font-weight: inherit;\"> any values that you need to modify. Apart from the configuration parameters updated while adding this curator, these values are also available for editing on the various tabs as shown below:<\/span><ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\"><li>On the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Curator Settings<\/span> tab: <ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-roman;\"><li><b>Curator End Point<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: this is the Curator Service\u2019s web API URL&#8217;s base path. The default value is <\/span><b><i>\/<\/i><\/b><i>curator<\/i>.<\/li><li><b>Logs End Point<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: this is the Curator Service\u2019s internal log base path. The default value is \/logs.<\/span><\/li><li><b>Failed Docs Notification<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: this is the frequency of sending email notifications to the super-admins about documents that fail to get indexed. It can be set to daily, hourly, weekly, or be disabled. The default value is <\/span>Daily.<\/li><li><b>Scheduler Frequency<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: this is the frequency (in milliseconds) with which the Curator will fetch the latest changes from the Zoom MAM Server. The default is 30000 ms.<\/span><\/li><li><b>Log Level<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: select the logging level as needed. By default, it is set to<\/span>\u00a0INFO.<\/li><li><b>Solr Data Directory<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: this is the path to the Solr database directory on the Curator Server machine, where indexing information about the Zoom repository files is stored. The default value is &#8211; [<\/span>ZoomInstallDir]\/db\/solr-db.<\/li><li>Solr End Point:\u00a0this is the Curator Service\u2019s internal Solr base path. The default value is \/solr.<\/li><li>Wait Time For Cores To Load(ms): this is the time to wait for Curator&#8217;s index initialization to complete before shutting down by registering a failure. <\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>On the Auto Restart tab: <ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-roman;\"><li>Enable: select this checkbox to enable auto restart on Curator Server. By default, it is set to true.<\/li><li>Frequency: set the frequency (in days) with which the Curator Server is restarted.<\/li><li>Date: shows the date (in mm\/\/dd\/\/yyyy format) of the next scheduled Curator Server restart. For example, 03\/21\/2018<\/li><li>Time: shows the time(in hh:mm 24-hour format) set for the next scheduled Curator Server restart. For example, 01:00 <\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>On the Zoom Server tab: the values list the Zoom Server settings. In a non-HADR setup, your single Zoom MAM Server should be added here. In case of a HADR setup, all HADR peers (Zoom Servers) that this Curator Server should connect to should be added here. List the Zoom Servers in the order in which this Curator Server should connect to these Zoom Servers.<\/li><li>On the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Preview Server<\/span> tab: the values list the Zoom Preview Server settings. You need to add at least one Preview Server if you will be enabling content indexing as in the next step 13e.<\/li><li>On the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Content Index<\/span> tab: <ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-roman;\"><li><b>Enable<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: select the Enable checkbox to enable content indexing on this Curator Server.<\/span><\/li><li><b>Index Rule File<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: enter the path of index rules file here. The default is: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">conf\/index-config.xml<\/span><\/i><\/li><li><b>Max Threads<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: specify the maximum number of parallel threads for asset content indexing. The default value is 8<\/span><\/li><li><b>Max Retry Count<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: specify the maximum number of attempts that this curator makes to index a document. The default value is 5<\/span><\/li><li><b>Commit Frequency<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: specify the frequency (in milliseconds) with which changes in content indexes become searchable. It is recommended to set this higher than 15 seconds, i.e. 15000 milliseconds. The default value is: 25000<\/span><\/li><li><b>Max Fuids Per Query<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: specify the maximum number of assets to be fetched for content indexing in a single query. The default value is 10000<\/span><\/li><li><b>Max RRNs Per Query<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: specify the maximum number of repository revisions (RRN) to be fetched for content indexing in a single query. The default value is 100<\/span> <\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>On the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Non Content Index<\/span> tab: <ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-roman;\"><li><b>Enable<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: select the Enable checkbox to enable non-content indexing on this Curator Server.<\/span><\/li><li><b>Max Threads<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: specify the maximum number of parallel threads for asset metadata indexing. The default value is 8<\/span><\/li><li><b>Max Retry Count<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: specify the maximum number of attempts that this curator makes to index a document. The default value is 5<\/span><\/li><li><b>Commit Frequency<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: specify the frequency (in milliseconds) with which changes in metadata indexes become searchable. It is recommended to set this higher than 15 seconds, i.e. 15000 milliseconds. The default value is: 25000<\/span><\/li><li><b>Max Fuids Per Query<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: specify the maximum number of assets to be fetched for metadata indexing in a single query. Higher values mean faster indexes.<\/span> <\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>On the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Audit Settings<\/span> tab: <ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-roman;\"><li><b>Enable: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">select the Enable checkbox to enable audit logging on Curator Server.<\/span><\/li><li><b>Max Threads<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: specify the maximum number of parallel threads for audit logging. The default value is 8<\/span><\/li><li><b>Commit Frequency<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: specify the frequency (in milliseconds) with which changes to the audit-log become searchable. The default value is 25000<\/span><\/li><li><b>Max Retries<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: specify the maximum number of attempts this Curator makes to index audit logs. The default value is 5<\/span>  <\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>After making the desired changes, <strong>click<\/strong> <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e8c8c8; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;\">Save<\/span>. Your settings are saved and Zoom Curator Services are restarted automatically for the changes to take effect. <figure><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d256e319cb6f.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"835\" height=\"445\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12485 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d256e319cb6f-1024x546.png\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/figure><p id=\"ZjDDtmq\"><\/li><li>The curator configuration is now complete. Your new curator is ready and starts indexing as per your settings. You can check the indexing progress on the Curator Dashboard.<\/li><li><strong>Click<\/strong> on <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Curator Dashboard<\/span> under the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Curator<\/span> node in the <span class=\"\" style=\"background: #e3e3e3;\">Admin Menu<\/span> sidebar. <figure><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d256fbf00f42.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"835\" height=\"445\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12486 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d256fbf00f42-1024x546.png\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/figure><p id=\"QmSPhJS\"><\/li><li>Once your new curator has indexed the assets, these will be listed under Assets Indexes.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"note\">You can add more Curator Servers as needed but it is recommended to have these on separate machines.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"note\">You can manually restart all Zoom Services on the Curator Server and Zoom MAM Server after making these configuration changes to make sure all settings are loaded successfully.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Global settings for Curator<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div>If you need to access Curator Settings anytime after setting up your Curator Server(s) as explained above then you can check the Curator Server Settings in the Server Control Panel.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Log into the Web Management Console as an admin. Open Server Control Panel node from System node in the Admin Menu sidebar. Click on Curator Server Settings in the Server Control Panel page. <figure><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d26d8a4885ce.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"835\" height=\"445\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12494 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d26d8a4885ce-1024x546.png\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/figure><p id=\"iugqdTZ\"><\/li><li>Update the settings for using Content, Non Content, and Audit Search. You can enable or disable any of these searches.\u00a0<\/li><li>Choose your Audit and Search Curators as needed. Click Save to save these changes. You could also add, edit, or delete Curators from the Curators list. <figure><a href=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d26d8e555846.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"835\" height=\"445\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12495 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/evolphin.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/img_5d26d8e555846-1024x546.png\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/figure><p id=\"LFzofIl\"><\/li><li>Restart your Curator Services for the changes to take effect.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Configuring File-types for Content Search<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The file-types, for which content indexing and searching is available, are all listed in the <code>Indexabletype.properties<\/code> file, present in the <code>conf<\/code> folder (Windows: <em>[ZoomInstallDir]\\conf<\/em> Linux: <em>[ZoomInstallDir]\/conf<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Administrators can add any file-type extension in this file to enable content indexing for that file-type. Removing an entry from this properties file will cause that file-type to be excluded from indexing from then on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"warning\">\n<p>Indexing of the JSON, CSV, and XML file formats is performed as plain text files.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"note\">\n<p>From Zoom 6.0 onwards, file content searching is not restricted to any specific set of languages by default.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Partial Content Search<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On searching for a particular word, all files containing the input word in full or as part of another word will be returned as matches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"example\">Search for &#8220;data&#8221; will fetch files containing &#8220;data&#8221;, &#8220;metadata&#8221;, &#8220;undatable&#8221; etc.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Phrase Search or Exact Match Search<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>To search for an exact phrase or word, enclose it with quotes &#8211; &#8221; &#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Special Character Support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">List of Unsupported Special Characters for &#8220;Search Everywhere&#8221; in Asset Browser<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p># &lt; &gt;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">List of Special Characters for &#8220;Advanced Search&#8221; in Asset Browser<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Asset Browser&#8217;s <span class=\"keyword\">Advanced Search<\/span> supports regular-expression search (with shell wild-card *).
